I ordered the banjo fittings from ebay already, but ill still do that trade for a spare 80e. Im curious why you would want the normal fittings over these though.

same reason you started this thread. they are questionable and since i have a full size now instead of an s10 i dont need them for clearance.
im pretty indifferent on them, actually. i dont mind either way.

guess i'll be the first to try them to 6,500 or so...i'll let a buddy borrow some that will regularly run his motor to 7,300 and see if he has any problems. I figure they cant be horrible considering how many twists, turns and fittings trans fluid normally goes through.

it's valentines day so I'll try to get my straight fittings out tomorrow.

install them and report back then. what's your mod list to be able to run that high? the OEM intake usually peters out by then.

At first I thought "hell no"

But then I realized we use banjo fittings on brake lines seeing way higher pressures.

The 90* shouldnt be any issue

brakes may be high pressure but they are low volume through the fittings, so i wouldnt consider that a valid comparison. I am planning to mark where the holes are and try to line them up with the outlet of the fitting to get the best flow from the banjo as possible.

its just a stock short block with good valvetrain. cam is a tu0. intake is one of those oddball older looking truck intakes with 4 bolt tb. had a single gt45 in my s10 and now it has twin 72s in the full size.
it doesnt necessarily make power up there right now, but i have spun it almost to 8k numerous times and i plan to again once the 4l80 goes in. its turned down now for the 230k mile stocker 60. hoping to drop the 80 in two weeks. im waiting for my friends lift and he is at that big race in georgia right now.

got my fittings today. they are beefier than I expected. in a good way. still low profile. I marked the top of the bolt head so I can align the drilled hole in the banjo bolt to the fitting. hopefully everything lines up close enough to look decent.

Anything to update? I have no room on the front port and this all i can find to use, already used the bfh a lil bit and fragola lowprofile 90 still wouldnt fit..
Look like they would flow enough to me but feedback would help..

Edit: after looking around i see no complaints, and i dont see that much of a restriction potential over tiny stock metal lines as long as you try and line the bolt and banjo orifices up. Plus i really dont have room or see any other options..
