obs/nbs inboard leaf springs+sway bar
Just curious if any one has moved there springs inside the frame and added a sway bar to regain a little handling for some more meat out back for the straight track?
Also wondering how much the sway bar will help with DD'ing the truck.
I know a 4 link would be the best bet, but with links and coil overs it gets expensive to just go in a straight line... why not use what I have, and fire up the ol welder.
the hangers will be easy, box the frame and move the passenger hanger to the driver side, and vise versa for the driver side hanger. Simple enuff. (Or mabey even do a pocket style setup inside the the frame to retain as much width as possible)
it's the shackle mount that's got me baffled, cut the Frame and do the same as what's done with the hangers and box the frame several inches past were it's weld back together or build a mount on the inside?
Post up your ideas for in boarding the shackle hangers. And your thoughts on the whole idea.

Just took a peak under the truck, the shackle mounts are riveted to the fram as well so that's simple enuff as well. So whats ever ones thoughts on this? Box frame, swap sides with shackles/hangers and move the frame cross support to the front a little to clear, weld on some spring perches and add a sway bar to help with body roll.
Sway bar, scrap metal, few spools of wire and some gas and a few weekends in the garge should come in under $400

The sway bar I added on my stock suspension helps out big time. Say when you hit an overpass or some railroad tracks, and the *** end does that nice side to side shimmy. It takes care of that for the most part. There is still some movement because of the bushings, but barely.

The frame near the shackles is narrower and the rails are wider, so you won't be able to just swap from the outside- in. A front crossmember will be required in place of the hangers to make everything line up, but then again your halfway to ladder bars.

Why not sink them into the frame like they do on the Tri 5 chevys?
