Default Need Assistance - Possible Build Issues

Hi Guys,

I have a 2000 Silverado 2500, which had a 2000 LQ4 Engine in it. Recently, I have removed the engine and am planning to replace it with an LQ9 Short Block with 799 Heads, and a newer Intake Manifold. However, I have just realized that the 2000 Engines and Transmissions may have been different, and I am wondering if any has ever resolved this issue.

I believe the crankshaft for the early LQ4 was longer to mate to this transmission. If I attempt to install this LQ9 with the original crankshaft and rotating assembly, what will I need to make the crankshaft bolt up to the to converter?

I know some LQ9s were bolted to 4L80E's so I am assuming there must be someway to do it. Also, are there any differences on the transmission side for a 2000 Model Year 4L80E?

And are there any issues with wiring harnesses in terms of the LQ9 not communicating with the 4L80E? Or should it simply sit in place of the LQ4, with the LQ4 Flexplate, and work fine?
