I have just ordered all of the parts that Sonnax makes for these transmissions, my 14 has only 7000 miles on it but I cannot stand how it shifts and will install the Zl1-Cts-v converter while its out. The leak down issues that they have are mixed with poor machining and the really soft aluminium that the valve bodies are made from not to mention they are made by AISIN !! I also will be tig welding the drums too.

The ZL-1 or CTS-V converter is around a 2000 RPM in a truck from what I have been researching. and they are $300 bucks new. I think the only difference between a 2 and 4wd trans is the tail shaft housing, the output shaft seems to be the same length.

Im wondering about the plugs/holes in rear of the case.... There are 3 different 2wd output shafts and one 4wd.... The 2wd shafts are dependent on whether it has a slip yoke, flange or a vette transaxle setup... I have also seen where the output shaft seal and retainer are different, between 2 and 4wd... Saw a thread on one of the jeep forums(i thinknit was) converting a 2wd to 4wd and they plugged the holes in back of the case.... Cant see gm designing different case for 2/4wd that cant be reverted.....
