drop shackle ?
I ordered some Belltec 2" lowering shackles for my truck. After doing a search for install tips I saw that many people had problems with vibrations after installing them bc of the pinion angle being off and someone even had to get rid of their truck bc it could not be fixed. Are these safe or should i just not even chance it and return them?

If you have a 2-piece driveshaft you will most likely need to shim the rear-end to keep then angle right. Most of the time on single piece shafts you don't have too.
I have a 2 piece and this is why I never did it to mine, because I don't have an inclinometer (I think thats how you spell it) to check the angle and make sure it is shimmed correctly.

I did 2" drop shackles and had NO problems, The guy I got my Blower from was the one who couldn't get rid of the vibration even after going back to stock and got rid of the truck because of it, thats why he parted with the blower.
I Guess you got a 50/50 shot.....

I've done rear shackles on 2-99-04 ECSB's, 1-2000 RCSB, 1-04 CCSB and just 2" shackles and never had any vibration problems with any of them. I have heard of it before, but I know of more people that have the vib after more than just a 2" shackle drop.

You can do math to figure out what is happening to the angles if you want to get it perfect. I would put them on, see if it vibrates, then add a shim if it does.
My friend has an Air ride kit on his truck with a two piece driveshaft, and he can drive it real low at 80mph with no problems with a less than perfect pinion angle.
