295 20" Tire Question!

What are you trying to fit it on? Truck type and wheel back spacing?
Anyway, that should fit no problem.
45 or 55 is up to you. How much sidewall do you want to see? What look are you trying to achieve. Either tire is going to be pretty stiff but the 45 will likely be stiffer.
That tire might be a little tight on the front but you should be OK.

I want to fill out fender wells as much as possible. The 295 width was just for the rear. I'm going 255 or 275 for the front. I plan on using Centerline 20x8.5 w/5" Backspace.
I'm going for a street look but I don't want to lower anymore. I want to get a tire that would fill them out.

The 295/50/20 fits perfectly on my truck... with the 2 inch rear drop. It even fits fine up in front as well. I love the tires, I am guessing yours are the Nitto Extreme Force 404's as well. Good luck!

Ok I'm gonna run 20x9.5 in the rear would a 6" or 5.5" Backspace be better with a 295.
I'm gonna also run a 20x8.5 in the front would a 5" or 5.5" work better. I think I'm gonna run a 275 up front.

On the front, assuming a 275/45/20 (you never specified a profile for this), you should go with at least 5.5" backspacing, if you do not want the tire past the fender lip.
If you really want to stay tucked (with these sizes), the preferable backspace should be 6" in front and 7" in rear - IMO
I could give you much better information, if I knew exactly which tires.
