Default Help me make my truck hook

Well, I really want to make a good pass this year. I obviously don't get any traction with the stock tires, but still managed to go 129 MPH on pump gas. Well I ordered the 6 lug Race Star wheels (15x10 rears, and 17x4.5 fronts) and want to be ready to bolt them on when they arrive, splash in some E85, and turn up the boost. I have Hoosier 29x10.5w-15 stiff sidewall slicks, tubes, and Hoosier front runners.

I would like to get rear shocks and I am leaning towards Strange dual adjustable for the rear, and I am not certain what to get for the fronts (I just don't want to break the bank if I don't need to).

Any input would be greatly appreciated, and please share your 60' time if you don't mind.

Im a believer in da shocks out back. Make sure there are no binds front and rear before bolting up the shocks. I think overtightenedbolts was my issue with the ecsb

^^^ lots of good info there.

Best thing I ever did with any of my caltrac equipped vehicles was to increase the front travel and get some really good DA shocks.

Good info on yellowbullet. It looks like DB Rods makes coilovers for the fronts. It still seems like the Strange shocks for the rear is a good choice. I will be doing some more reading before making the purchase.

There's more stored energy in a regular coil, unless you plan on making room for a 7"+ travel shock with a 14" spring.

raised the top mount up 1.5", that combined with dropped lower control arm nets for a long shock

I guess I should have mentioned what I already have. The truck is a Joe Gibbs so it came with lower front springs and the drop shackle in the rear of the leaf.

I made some Caltrac style bars and removed the overload leaf. I also raised the front of the leaf up with a drop hanger, and installed drop spindles.
