Exclamation Experts...Need Input Circle D 278mm 3200 Stall 2011 2wd Crew Cab

Setup

2011 CrewCab Silverado 4.8l 2wd
Comp 214/228 114lsa VVT Cam
Speed Engineering Long Tubes
Speed Engineering True Dual Exhaust
Circle D 278mm 3200 Stall Stock 4L60e
Stock 3:23 gears Open Diff
Heavy Boss 20" wheels
Hp Tuners Tune

Question....

Stall seems to Loose Seems like it flashes too easy. Partial throttle just on take off it will flash to 2500 to 2900ish with ease.

Is it because of the gear ratio, heavy 20" wheels and the truck is a heavy pig or should it have better street manners?

I'm no expert but it seems like Circle D converters are just on the loose side. I don't like how loose mine is.

Thanks

I had the same stall in a similar build but was a 5.3l 2wd Regular cab 4:10 gears and it seemed to have better street manners (didn't flash so easily)

Couple of things,

You have a 4.8, 3.23 gears and 20in wheels.

It's going to be a dog no matter what. The Circle D converters are built to be loose. If you were to say, change the rear gear to something in the 4-series, it wouldn't take as much throttle off idle to get you moving but because you have a 3.23 gear, it takes more throttle to get you moving and thus causes the converter to flash.

That was my train of thought as well.....just nice to hear it from others that built them.

This is my first heavy daily driver build.
