Default Detroit TruTrac issues

EDIT: found out it's a detroit LOCKER he sold me, not a trutrac... all and all I'm pretty pissed, it's not what I asked or payed for. After numerous times searching I found that driveline slop is perfectly normal and acceptable for this rearend.

When i did mine (the first time) this same thing happened. I tore it back down and the backlash doubled...i luckily only needed to reshim the carrier.

Goodluck...

If it is in fact a tru-trac make sure you didn't use Synthetic fluid. If it's NOT then maybe you should?

Dunno. Throwing **** out there. Good Luck.

If its not a trutrac, which I THINK it is I'm going to be pissed, I specifically asked if it was, and he confirmed that it was.

It doesnt have any clutches inside, however...
the piece in between the springs, is essentially the same, however there is one on each side of the pin, basically each side of the pin has two single face pieces that mesh together, rather then two single face that mesh the same one in the middle.... and that's a locker I understand, not sure that it means this one is two...

If its a trutrac there would be helical gears inside.
