Default Anybody have fitment issues with O'Reillys Shocks?

Hey fellas, been awhile since I've been on here. Any ways truck is 2002 4.8 ecsb, I bought Monroes from O'Reilly, they were a little short.

Short enough that once I put the rubber bushings on, there was not enough thread showing for me to screw the nut on. I took them back to O'Reilly and looked at 2 other sets of front Shocks but they were the same length as the Monroes.

I also went to auto zone and looked at 2 other brands of Shocks and they were the same length. Am I doing something wrong here or is there something I'm missing? I've changed Shocks before on other trucks and never had a problem

I bet the new rubber bushing are larger than the factory ones and not giving you enough room to thread the bolt on.

Shave the bushing down some or find a way to smash it enough to get the nut started.

I usually reuse the OEM top bushings as they have a sleeve that goes through the center of the pocket anyway.

My buddy used them and he's having problems with the bushings being cut by the washer

Yeah I noticed the after market bushings are way taller. I'll try reusing the stock ones
