Default Help! Squeeking noise after pinion shim install

I put on 2" lowering shackles and had a vibration from 10-40 mph so i ordered the 2 degree pinion shim and after researching it i was told to install them with the fat side toward the rear. Test drove it and the vibration went away a little but was still there. So the wife takes the truck today and tells me it is squeeking, i thought no big deal i'll check it out and when you put it in drive and accelerate it sounds like a belt slipping that gets faster and higher pitched as you go. Now it only does this in drive, reverse is fine no noise at all.
After looking on djm's website they say to install the shim fat side toward the front. I reversed the shims and the noise is still present. So did I f up something on the drive shaft? I got under the truck and there is some movement at the carrier bearing. Anyone got any ideas what I did to my truck? Sorry for the long post. Thanks

Take a look at the u joints. I have seen them start to go bad or be dry and squeak bad.

Is there suposed to be some play at the carrier bearing? I'm thinking that is wear the noise is comming from.

There will be some play there. Maybe get a set of stands under the truck and put in gear while it's in the air. Might be easier to pin point the noise.
