99 3/4 ton 4wd rear axle in 04 1/2 ton 2wd?

Default 99 3/4 ton 4wd rear axle in 04 1/2 ton 2wd?

my truck is a 1 wheel wonder 10 bolt a local guy is selling a rear axle from a 99 3/4 ton truck 3.73 G80 14 bolt, my truck is a 04 1/2 ton 2wd

simple swap or?

You would definitely need 6 lug axles, also need to measure wms to wms on each axle (I believe they are different) and more importantly you need to make sure the spring perches have the same distance between them.

I know axles for sure every thing else is what i'm wondering about? hes about 100 miles from me so probably just going to pass on it

It's a bolt in, however it requires some custom work to make it 6 lug and use the 1500 series brakes. Axles are off the shelf replacements.
