Do you know of any reason this wouldn't work on a 2004 Tahoe?

No...what does the lower control arm look like? If its the same as the trucks it should work fine.

Got the new bearings...compared to the normal plastic ones:

For the guys wondering how low you can go with this....pretty damn low considering its all stock stuff. I installed the stud on one side to see what it would do. With 28" tires I measured the fender at 29.5"

I dont know what that equates to compared to a normal drop, but its lower than I would run because the upper balljoint is at a terrible angle, but thats how it would be with any drop.

All the tahoes have the torsion bar front suspension so yes it should work.

Alright, so you want to buy a set and try it out...?

Got everything buttoned up: 1300lb springs, aftermarket bump stops, metal bearings. Taking it to have it aligned today

He got the camber and toe in spec, but caster is more off than he would like, probably from the frame being tweaked from the previous owner. He said if there were problems just bring it back and he will put aftermarket bolts in to get more adjustment.

As far as the ride goes...

It rides GREAT! I have the shocks set to 10 out of 18 and might turn it down to 9 for daily driving but the suspension is very...precise. I have stiff springs in it, but it does not feel uncomfortable. The front end feels planted and takes bumps with ease. I was actually going out of my way to hit bumps and holes on the way home and it rode great.

Received the set of uppers I ordered, they look awesome!! I am still collecting parts and getting ready to drop the truck.. Won't happen as fast as I want it to but these will be an integral part of the setup.. Thanks Atomic for pioneering these mounts.

atomic i want a set of top mounts. is the top plate also 3/8''? i will be using these as the sole mounting point for coils as im going from the custom bag mounts so i hope its beefy enough.

I have pricing in my first series of posts, but Ill send you a pm here in a second.

I looked at a friends 2500hd today, and it doesnt look like my uppers will be a direct fit. The frame on the 2500s goes inward (toward the engine) a few inches down whereas on the 1500s its a straight section. However, if you want to weld these to the frame, they should work fine, just I dont believe bolting them on will work. If any 2500 guys want to try these I will give you a discounted set.
