Default 4wd won't engage - light keeps blinking

Having some trouble with 4wd. When I hit any of the buttons besides 2hi, the light just flashes continuously and will never engage. I don't have the "service 4wd" light illuminated on the dash, and otherwise the switch looks like it's acting normal. Any ideas? It's Autotrac, in case that makes a difference.

Ive had that problem a couple times before without the check 4wd light and a couple with it on. I took it to the dealer and they said they had to reflash the computer, and the other time they replaced a solenoid that went bad.

I bet you have some in the transfer case control module. You know anyone with a scan tool that can check those codes???

Ummmm, its not good, but I doubt it causes your problem. I am betting its your encoder motor sensor... but without pulling codes your kindof in the dark...
