Default 4l80e leak question

After I swapped a 80 in my silverado I noticed it leaked after sitting for a week or so. I mean it poured out of the yolk so I welded the weep hole. Then it started leaking out of the harness connection so I changed the internal harness. Now it seems to have started leaking again. I don't believe its overfull because it leaks so much out the transmission slips when put into gear. Ive heard its torque converter drain back but is it a particular seal that goes out on the inside of the trans or is it normal to drain back and overfill the pan? I need help this thing is driving me crazy. thanks in advance
