do you have software to disable the shift silenoid codes?

sounds like you've eliminated mechanical possibilities that leaves only one area.

You need a tech 2 or a shaffer shifter to see if you can manually command those gear changes.Did you do a manual gauge?Although it sounds like main line is OK.Did you look at a fluid schematic?See what the common thread is for 3&4 fluid application.Any problem with the wiring connector? Any pins bent? Are you sure you have the right VB gaskets? compare to the old ones, did you change seperator plates?

i have ran into 2 transmissions with the same condition over the years. the problem turned out to be a cracked case in the fluid path on one and a bad encapsolated valve in the other. in both cases i just replaced the case to fix the issue.

Default 4l60e

The original problem was a worn out clutch packs. and a broken spring in the 3-4 acumalator piston and the sun gear shell was worn out on the splines where the sun gear goes. but was not destroyed...after we put it together the first time...the 3-4 clutch packs fryed. but we found a broken seal in the 2-4 Servo....so we figured that was the problem ....but after replacing all the broken parts. again. and replacing the transmission back to the suburban we still have no 3-4 gear...it will go to 2nd gear and just rev up.

What about that electronic gear selector thing. Mine went bad and wouldn't let me start the truck. $700 at the dealership later.... the truck fires up.
