I had one that was done by a GM tech even...

Blew it up making a left hand turn one day. Not even beating on it. Only had around 30K miles or less on it behind a stock motor... I never got around to installing the new motor.

Put the Stock one back in it and was still shifting fine when I sold it a month ago.

Its sitting waiting to be opened up just to see what broke...

I know a chick that everytime she slams on the brakes she kills her transmission, has done it twice... I think shes got a wiring issue personally, but not getting into it

Got some more pics of the trans tonight....more carnage!!!



Plastic piston... See all the metal in it... Shoulda seen the pan when i took it off, didnt even think about taking pics of that!!!





They look burnt but could be the contaminated fluid they were in too!!

Getting to the good stuff!!!!



Painted the case tonight!!! Duplicolor plum purple engine enamel..... Been looking for this paint since i started the engine build.... Now I am thinking about painting the engine cover and air intake tube with it too!!!





Tailshaft adaptor...





I actually painted something without it running!!!!

New drum band surface!!!





PITA piston in!!!





Low/reverse spring assembly





Best $30 i ever spent!!!!





Not even gonna get into how much that cost!!!

Goin back together!!!!



5 pinion rear planetary





Low/reverse sprag/center support...... Put it back together dry and its squealing, gonna take it back out tomorrow or monday and lube it up and see if it stops squealing, if not ill be geting a new one, damnit!!!





Reaction shell and front planetary!!





Pump reassembled... With transgo rings and spring waiting on sonnax performance pack to get here... The orange is rust spots fron where i cleaned everything up and laid the vanes in the pump to transport it back to where I am building the transmission!!! Lil bit of lube and sone tranny fluid and they all cleaned right up!!!





Snap ring in place, amazing what the right pair of snap ring pliers will do!!!

So dont worry about it??? I just remembered i dont have to buy one i have a second 2wd core i can tear down......
