Default 4L60E to 4L80E swap on a RCSB, driveshaft question

I can't seem to find a straight answer, some people say you can use the stock shaft, then some say you have to get a custom one made. Can someone clear this up for me?

thanks!

i have the same exact truck as you do, i did the swap and used the stock shaft i just modified my crossmember, change the electrical connections and swaped to the stronger 1350 yoke, i've been driving it for over 1yr without any issues

awesome thanks for the info, I'm guessing the 6L80E is the same length as the 4L80E? This stronger 1350 yoke, specs on it so I can find one?

I am going through the swap right now. And I have pretty much the same truck. I bought a th-400 HD slip yoke from the same company I bought all my transmission parts from. But you have to make sure you get the long 4l80 slip yoke, because the shorter
th-400 is gonna be to short and you won't have enough spline engagement with the short one. The stock 4l60 slip yoke is like 5 inches long. And the short th-400 slip yoke is 3.5 inches long. So I am sending the short slip yoke I already bought back and getting the longer 4l80 slip yoke. Then you will have to use a conversion U-joint to go from the bigger 4l80 slip yoke to the smaller 4l60 drive shaft.

after going intercooled I ran a second faster in 1/8th mile, but still slow as hell... I ran equivalent to a 14.5 second in the 1/4 mile. It has been extremely hot though. 2 weeks ago a cold front came through so I drove it out at around midnight with a temp of about 60 degrees outside, it woke up apparently because it blew my 4l60e lol
