Yeah that's why installed the Sonnax line to lube pressure regulator. It doesn't stall the motor anymore but who knows if it was a 100 percent cure. I think that all has to do with cooler line flow.

I'll see what the cooler lines are flowing then go from there. I'm sure I'll end up sending the converter back and letting them take a look.

Thought about something, check inlet and outlet temps of your cooler, as in if the feed line is same temp as your return line, or cooler or warmer... If theres trash at the inlet of the cooler blocking flow the cooler would be cool to the touch... The inlet should also be slightly warmer than the return... Trans fluid unless under extreme conditions shouldnt really be necessarily hot to begin with, not like coolant or oil would get....

Ok with the trans at 210+ the inlet at the cooler is about 90 degrees and the outlet is about 70. On a 60 degree night.

If I hit the pan itself it reads 150. If I point it at the drain plug it reads what the gauge does. I couldn't get to the case with my truck on the ground.

Wondering if the guage isnt touching the plug inside, which would cause temp to be off...

That's a tough one cause the factory gauge through hp tuners sits 10-20 degrees higher than the autometer. But going back to the original reason for this post was the exhaust crossover. The factory temp sensor inside the pan sits just about right above the crossover. If I point the infrared gun at the pan where the crossover is it reads about the same as the crossover right around 250 degrees when the front of the pan reads 150. I bet there isn't a 1/32 gap between the crossover and the pan. I mean it's close if not touching. Also I forgot to mention when I point it at the converter it reads 210. This is all with the truck running btw.

Hmm I wonder if this is all just a monitoring issue.
