Default Measurement between hubs on stock 10bolt

What is distance in inches between the two hubs. I need the measurement in order to get the right width 14bolt. I would measure it myself but the truck is dead with no battery in and backed into the tight little one space garage

I'm not sure about your year, Cody, but for me, I needed:

14 bolt housing: GM 12471325 and is flanged for disc brakes. It lists for $1136 and dealer wholesale is $906.

Of course, the brakes are exclusve to this axle so, you'll need caliper brackets, dust shield / parking brake assembly, and calipers (can get you the part numbers but don't have them handy -- all in all add another $6-700).

If you get stock GM axles, expect new rotors and wheels as well (8 bolt).

I went with a detroit locker and after market alloy 6-bolt axles.

Wonder if you could use the brakes that come with it and just splice it into my current system. Damn that sucks that I have to buy all new brake stuff, thats almost enough to force me to buy the baer 6piston kit for the rear.

I need the measurement from hub to hub to know which axle to pick up at the junkyard.

Well... No aftermarket companies make a kit for that axle yet lol (although I didn't talk to baer). It's from a 01-03 2500HD, or a 1500 Crew Cab from the same year. Wilwood says they are working on a big brake kit for it, but its 3-4months out.

I'm sure you can get the calipers and custom make some caliper brackets, but that's gonna be expensive (would require millwork imo).

The calipers and parking brakes will work with your lines (well I have a set of earl's braded that they look like they will work fine with).

Ah can't help you there -- I sent my 10-bolt to Ben already and the 14 bolt is still being assembled.
