Default 17x4.5" Racestar wheels... what size tire???

What size tire are you guys running on the 17x4.5" racestar front wheels? Ive searched and havent gotn any real answer on it. I have a new set of wheels for the front of my truck and need to get tires for them. Need to be 28" tall but really hate to spend over $200 each on the mickey thompson 28x6x17. Any ideas otherwise?

I'm running the bias ply M&H 28x4.5-17. Per M&H recommendation running 45psi in them to support the front weight of the truck (~1400 lb/corner).

That size looks great on the wheel. I havent seen those yet. I will check them out. Any street use much or mainly just track use? I do drive the truck a fair bit on occassion.

Mostly track use. I got a DOT tire for true street classes and use them on the mandatory cruise but that's the only street use they see. They track, steer and brake ok but have their limitations. If you are planning more street use, you may look into the radial version as the side walls may be a bit stiffer. I originally planned to get the radial but they didn't have any in stock and wouldn't have them before I needed them.
