Default '03 GMC Motor Mount Install

Can I change the mounts with the motor still in the truck? Just one side at a time right? Use a jack and a piece of wood on the oil pan and gently lift then remove and replace?

Issues doing that?

That's the process, use a large piece of wood like a 2x12 to distribute the load on the pan and you're good

yes i did this last year. i made the mistake of unbolting both. DO NOT DO THIS. the engine fell over to one side . i somehow managed to get the mounts back up by myself. not fun. just unbolt one side, lift engine with flat piece of wood, replace. repeat.

at the moment i had only the short block (was swapping heads) so it was much less weight on the oil pan when i lifted the engine
