Default making returnless on lq4/L92 build

Im going to be installing LQ4 with LS3 heads and L92 intake with fuel rail which is return less. I picked up a Vette filter that has regulator built in to make this a return less systems.

Im getting stumped on a few questions in my searching before posting.

1. Can I plug the Vette filter into the feed/return line I have already in engine bay and then run the outlet right to L92 fuel rail?

2.Will the Vette filer plug right into the GM quick connections on the lines already and would there be room for the filter?

3. Is it a bad idea to have the fuel filter sitting right by the fuel rail from danger of heat situation?

also checked fuel pressure on stock fuel pump and at idle Im at 50,key on motor off Im at 55 and WOT Im at 60. Any reason to change the pump?

Update: Found this pic of what Im talking about

1. and 2. If I am not mistaken, Should plug and play with what's already there assuming you have a truck 99-03 with factory returnless set up.

3. Plenty of people have done it this way, just make sure you don't have any leaks

The reason for a pump upgrade would be because you need more volume to maintain the correct PSI while feed larger injectors.

If you're putting a large cam you will most likely need larger injectors and bigger pump.
