Default Limitations on Flex Fuel pump nnbs

Have a 08 sierra with a vortech v1 charger. Running 7 psi boost and at 500 to tires. Lookin to add few pounds of boost. Wondering how far the stock pump will support . 93 octane

I was told around 6-650 rwhp itll be maxed. Then youll have to switch to return setup and add reg and bigger pump

edit, and that was on FF fuel system which I see you have

Why do you say, "have to switch to a return style"? Why can he not just put a 450 pump in the bucket?

FPCM more then likely.

I'd be watching your fuel pressure for sure.

550-600hp on pump gas seems to be the limit.

What about the FPCM? If the FPCM is PN#25967325 it is the same as a CTSV. These FPCM's can be programmed (via Tech2) to take a CTSV vin and allows for higher pressure and PWM of the pump with no codes. Then using HPtuners or EFI live to match the fuel system parameters in the ECU to that of the CTSV. Now, as for the mechanical limit for fuel pressure in the trucks, I don't know what it is. Their is a mechanical relief valve inside the fuel pump module that will keep you from raising the pressure to a certain point, albeit lower than the 65psi relief valve in the CTSV pump module and the ZR1 at 87 psi. I would think the stock FF pump will most likely burn up from being over worked (duty cycle) at those pressures. I personally haven't tried it and would be interesting to see how it would work and then we would really know what the FF pump is capable of. Installing the Walboro 450 and changing out that relief valve along with the FPCM programming would allow it to work at a lower duty cycle and the fuel system will likely be more than sufficient for the V1.

Im at 11-12psi on a cammed 6.2l with a flex pump with a good deal of meth. I hardly have drove the truck but im planning to hook up the computer and watch fuel pressure tomorrow. Ill report back after. I've got a walbro 450, just haven't swapped it because BBP told me im ok on fuel still.

Be careful that meth is not being compensated or replacing fuel, it should be used as a method to cool the intake charge. Too much meth and you will blow the intake manifold or intercooler/pipes with a backfire.

Drove mine today. NNBS Flex pump 6.2l, cammed, TVS2300 @ 11-12 psi on meth. Saw fuel pressure down to 45psi at WOT. No clue what kinda power it makes as it has not been to the dyno yet but there ya go.
