Trust me, I spent a long time thinking of every possible way to re-use the factory rails. It just isn't a good idea. I don't like the way the crossover works and I don't like the dead end.

I ended up with the truck fuel rails off ebay, they aren't the best quality but not bad. I had to send the first set back due to burrs inside the injector holes. The Holley rails are probably higher quality.

Yeah - problem is I can't find a rail kit for the L92 intake...the ebay ad shows the earlier style intake and my intake is definitely different.

Any insight? I messaged the seller to see if it will fit my intake.

I made Nasty Performance rails work with an L92 intake at one point...had to get creative with spacers for the rails and for the injectors.

I don't like creative when it comes to fuel, I like engineered and thought out. I don't like high pressure flammable liquids igniting under the hood.

The seller told me they should work based on what his customers tell him and if they don't work for me I can return them...I'm just not sure if I should ditch the L92 intake all together and switch to a Holley Hi-Ram. I do have 427 cubes and a 3k stall running 5.13 gears...would I notice the lack of bottom end? Would someone buy my L92 intake to offset the cost? I just wish it wasn't the holiday and I could not worry about dropping the coin right now.

Side note is that I am particularly glad that fitting let go in my driveway rather than on the road.

My experience with professional products regulators hasnt been the best just as a warning. I dont know if yours has pipe threads or not but the one I got that did I could not get to stop leaking no matter what sealant I used

Thanks for the heads up and yes I do believe they are all npt threads. I'm using the liquid sealant on the threads so we will see how that works out. But first, I need to get some rails or go all in and Hi-Ram it.

Can someone point me to a good thread for the Hi-Ram install? What's needed and what I can ditch. I've heard the rails don't like our high mount alternator.

Well - just went all in and bought the Hi-Ram. A local shop here in Tempe is taking care of me on the price to make it hard to not take advantage of the deal. Keep an eye out for a thread regarding the install. I figure with more than 400 cubes I should be good, plus I am planning to spin to 7K-ish rpm so it can only be a benefit. I'll be selling the L92 manifold with stock injectors and sensors so keep an eye out in the classifieds too. That should offset the cost of the upgrade a little.

Thanks for the help guys!

From what I can tell I'm getting pn 12592525 3bar map sensor and a port for vacuum to work with the brake booster. Also some 3/16" oring an -8 fittings for the end of the rail. I read some posts about people needing a slim fitting for the rail behind the alternator? Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks
