Truck intake will make more torque.

Car intake seems like a downgrade to me.

Because it's in a car that weight's 1,000-1,500lbs less, has a totally different camshaft design that makes the car intake worth it at higher rpms.

Trucks are heavy and you won't be spending the majority of your time at high rpm. You want that mid range torque that a truck intake would offer. Upgrading to a TBSS/NBSS intake is a better option that going to a car intake in you have a NBS truck.

I thought clearance was the primary reason that cars don't get the good stuff. The LS1 manifold loses at any RPM compared to the TBSS, as shown in Hot Rod Magazine's comparison test. The LS6 is better than the LS1, but only at high RPM. The old style truck manifold is better than the LS1 and similar to the LS6, but with a little more bottom end. The TBSS, or NNBS 5.3, makes the old truck manifold look weak. Read the article. Here is a graph of the power of their engine with an LS1 manifold compared to the same engine with the TBSS manifold.

A Saab 9-7X Aero is to a Trailblazer SS as a Firebird is to a Camaro. In other words, the same.
