Default Help with routing fuel?

Getting started on my fuel system and going with a BRFPR, I've done a ton of searching around and everyone seems to have their own idea of what the correct delivery to the regulator from the rails is... Out of the two images below number one is my preferred mainly to avoid excessive fittings and lines. So my question is do you guys see any disadvantages to running the setup up in diagram 1(my preferred) rather than 2?

I just finished my fuel system and I did it like the first diagram, seems like it's a tried and tru system that will handle high hp ,so I did it to save on the extra fittings and routing..

I checked that link out last night which also lead to some confusion wether or not the first diagram would work cause everyone seemed to prefer how the second diagram is

I have done both, both worked fine. Had the first type on my turbo setup, and due to having to use returnless 6an rails with the blower I use the second type.

Thanks man I think that's the way I'm gonna go I want to alleviate all that plumbing. I'm going all 8an with a 6an return

That was my plan at first -8 feed and -6 return , but I ended up using -8 feed And my stock feed for my return.
