Default ev1 connectors

So I cut some out of a harness at a junk yard. What's the best way to go about splicing them into my harness? I'm not the greatest as soldiering.

^^^^ agreed.. If you are trying to use butt connectors or something similar it will look kinda trashy and also increase resistance in the wiring when comapred to soldering.

I crimped and heat shrunk mine, I crimped each connecter 8 times! 2 side by side on either end, and den......turned the crimper jaws (a snap on tool, not the sh#tty one like comes in a kit)completely around and crimped them again. I then put some dielectric grease on the connection and slid the heat over and heated up until a little bit of the grease came out.
I know that soldering is the "prefered method, but I based on the fact I could not pull them apart when I was done leads me to belive I will have no issues.

Get a butane soldering iron for a big box store of your choice, thin solder, and heat shrink...

Cut and remove insulation from wire ends and slide heat shrink on...

Twist wires together longways, apply heat and touch solder to wire when it is hot...

Slide heat shrink over the wires, heat, and ding ding ding!! You are done!!

Important part of soldering is heating the wire to allow solder to flow into wire...
You can do it!!
