I like it. Good call on moving up to the bigger bucket. I am not a fan of hacking up the bucket and having to keep 3/4 of a tank of gas in it. I drive mine until the low fuel light comes on. I have been doing it for years without and issue.

I launch hard on the street with no issues below 1/2 tank. When I had originally put in my 255 and made small holes I had all sorts of issues. Leave the bucket intact and you will be surprised what you can get away with.

Nice write up Richard.

My dual Walbro 400's are working flawless. I'm not near as fast as some of you guys but I believe I have plenty of fuel. I have ran my tank down to as low as about 1/3 of a tank. I don't dare try it any lower. I usually have it at 1/2 tank at the track with no issues.

I ran my vent up to the filler neck. It seems to be working great. I have filled the tank up quite a bit in the last 3500miles and never had a problem getting it full

On the sending unit. I tried swapping the sending unit wires and ended up shorting out the sending unit. Not sure if it was a result of the swap of the wires or I bumped the sending unit to hard. The metal prong that makes contact on the bucket from the sending unit pretty much vaporized after I swapped the wires. And the sender was working before I swapped the wires, just the gauges was backwards.

Anyone have p/n’s for the 04-06 tanks, on the bottom stamped into the plastic? There’s a GM junkyard with a handful of tanks but not sure what years they came out of. I tried cross referencing the p/n’s online but came up with nothing.

Pics work fine if you use the chrome photobucket plugin fix thing.
