Default Just got an 85 Nissan truck, the old body style

Eventually I would to swap out for a KA24 either out of a hardbody truck or 240SX. This engine is fairly old and has had a tough life. Any ideas on how difficult it may be to accomplish? This truck is carb'd so it would be going to fuel injection with the swap, anything I need to know?

Right...and I'm looking for info on how to get more performance. Your Silverado isn't a performance truck from the factory, but after putting work into it, you would call it that wouldn't you? Or do I have to go away until I pass a certain number on the dyno before posting?

V8 would be useless for me in this truck. That's why I'm looking at a newer 4 cyl. The KA24 out of a 240SX (and probably the 90's pickup as well) has developed a decent following in the aftermarket world as the 240 became more popular for drifters and track racers.

Found http://720world.ning.com/forum Very good site for anyone else with one of these trucks. Not a lot of stuff out there for it, but a lot you can do to it if you have the right information.

dude most people here on this site are domestic followers...... haha I don't know too much about the k20's and the sr549ers and all that. but i do know that most anything is possible and even with a 4cyl or 6cyl some of those trucks can move like a friend of mine with a 01 tacoma with a 2jz supra motor went well into the 11's on street tires so just do some searching but prolly won't find much here for that .....sorry!
wish i could help!

as stated above, we'd be glad to help you.. but maybe only a handful of guys know anything about those engines, most the guys here, even the imports are still V8's

so from my point of view a blown 408 stroker would make it run pretty good
