85 4Runner Rebuild
Some of you fokkers remember when I posted about getting this thing about this time last year. The autotragic finally gave out on me, so I decided to drop it. Here is where I'm at....
So I got tired of a few things. One, my horrid rear bumper. It wasn't mounted good enough to be of any use other than looking horrible, so I got rid of it.
I also have a nagging problem with the damn thing running warm. Gone thru pretty well everything on the cooling side and it's all good. New thermostat, new fan clutch, pretty well most everything short of a pump. So, I got a hair brained idea and started cutting stuff, lol.
You guys will like this, lol. The vent is off a 2010 Mustang GT500. Get it direct from Ford for about 40 bucks, and it's a good looking piece IMHO.
In cab pic of it....
And outside....
And shortly after that is when things took a poo. So...
Just got home with a new truck. 88 22RE/W56 truck. It's trashed but it's heart will live on. This should also fix the driveability issue I have not been able to track down. ( ended up being the tranny taking a dump, lol )
(Gotta have a list of things done/to do and parts needed, lol)
Cleaning up the harness...
Cleaning up the rest of the engine bay...
Oh hey, the new motor found a home....

Pulled the dash to drill the firewall for the clutch MC. Nice of Toyota to use the same pedal boxes...
Decided I'm going to do a color change on the truck. As such, I'm going to do a color change in the interior. Old dash color...
New Color....
So I'm wrapping it up as we speak. There'll be more updates shortly.
