Default Oil changes

I own a 05 Honda CR-V, I drive this to work, which is out in Odessa, Texas! This ride is 735 miles one way! I'm having to change the oil every month! The question is! I use regular oil castrol 10w-30 would it be better to go with a synthetic oil to get more mileage between oil changes?

Owner's manual says to change oil every 10,000 miles & filter every 20,000 miles in normal conditions!
Change oil every 5,000 miles & filter every 10,000 miles in severe condition!

Does Honda got a miracle oil r do they just want u to wear it out before it's time?

Any suggestion will be helpful thanks!

Personally i change the oil in my truck every 8k, and the filter ever 4k (i top off the oil when i change the filter only)... BTW my truck sees a fair amount of abuse...

I knoe some that go by the oil change light on some gm cars and trucks and never have a problem. 10-15k oil changes. On a *******(no offense), I would do what the book said, or call a dealer to see if that is right or a misprint. my *******(see I have one too), I do 3-4k oil changes with high mileage oil, cause oil is cheap, and a motor is not. my truck see's 5k oil changes and a filter on both at oil changes. a 10k oil change will gum up you motro though. a syn oil will help if you want to go those long intervals.
