I have a fraternity brother selling his 1999 5spd 4 cyl ranger for 3,000. only 100,000 miles. is that a good deal first of all? also.. is it possible to turbo these engines?i think it would be a good alternative gas and price wise compared to droppin in a 5.0. let me know what yall think!!

first check blue book value and nada.
make sure you know what all the options are that are on the truck.
it helps.
if you see that it below that, i would almost say it would be a good deal, price wise.
if you have any mechanic friends i would take it by them and have them check it out.
make sure all liquids are fresh or look somewhat fresh.
maybe get a carfax report on it.
i'm sure it would be a really good gas saver compared the 'burban that you are driving now.
