I have a 2004 ford f250 with the 5.4 and I wanna get some more power out of it. What would be some good upgrades for it? And where can I order them?

good intake and a custom tune would do wonders on it... Summit has the intake and the SCT tuners but I would get a dyno tune done somewhere...

Handheld < Mail Order < Dyno/In-Person tune

Mail order is the simplest option, but I am absolutely unaware of any known Ford tuners, as I don't really deal with them at home or at work. They can be a much better tune than the handheld and cheaper too (most of the time).

A datalogged/in person/dyno tune would be absolutely the best option at squeezing out the right amount of power for your specific truck.

Good luck! I really like the SD's, but I could barely stand the 5.4L in an F150 (drove a brand new 07 or 08' a few times back at an old job). They are capable of making great power, but in stock trim I flat-out hated the way it performed.

Just wanted to add, A local guy had a 10" lifted RCLB SD (w/5.4L) and had a very mean sounding stainless steel exhaust on it. You could hear him coming from a mile away but it was probably one of the nicest sounding Ford's I've ever heard.

I'm not sure the brand of catback it was, but it sounded like it could have been Borla. Either way, it was impressive as hell to hear driving down the road. I was raised a Ford hater but my inner gearhead loves a nice rumbling engine.
