supercharger guys, is this ok?
Hello, i need to know if this is normal. A truck came in today which has L92 rectangular heads and a whipple 2.3...but the whipple thats on there originally was bought for and installed on a 5.3 with cathedral heads. Truck came in for valvetrain upgrade so i removed the whipple and came across this.
Maybe its ok(i have very very little knowledge on superchargers) but to me it looks like it's not supposed to be like that. Not even sure if whipple makes 2 different types of ports.

I am surprised the gaskets were sealing. You can see the gasket was on the edge of the ports on the right side. The port mismatch is not helping flow any either. With a rectangular port manifold, I would speculate the manifold pressure would go down and power would go up slightly.

Same here, i am very very surprised the truck worked like it did. I tuned it and i wouldn't have thought there was something wrong with it. Dyno might have told that there was missing something but no local dyno here so i dont have any numbers. And i havent told the customer this, i wanted to see first if this was the way its supposed to be. Im gonna talk to him tomorrow.
Truck has 6.2 l92 with gt11 cam and supporting mods, 1 3/4 headers and the 2.3 with a 3.0 pulley which made 8ish psi.
Do you guys happen to know if i could order just the lower manifold to replace this one?
