Default S480 changing from stock cover to race cover

Well as some of you know I put the truck on the rollers. I was happy to mae 955hp, but sort of surprised at how the power fell off in the higher RPM'S. It felt like it was losing power up top, and I wanted to be certain, and I was right. I would like to correct it and make it pull higher in the RPM'S. I plan on tearing the engine down to inspect parts over the winter, and while I am in there put in a cam that Stock48 suggests. I also would like to upgrade the turbo, and I am not sure what parts need to be changed for the perfect setup. I will more than likely be staying around 25PSI. Should I go with a billet wheel? Should I upgrade the cover? I have seen that they make a V1 cover with a slip on hose, and a V2 with a 3.5" V-band. Does anyone have any real world experience? Here is the graph so people can see how it is dropping off. And I actually ramped the timing up after 5700 so it would pick up more power.

I'd be interested to see differences based on one change at a time.

A data log would be helpful to see so you know if it's holding the boost that far out into the RPM range. But you're starting to get out of the bubble on that compressor I would think for a cast wheel, stock cover BW 80.

That's not a bad idea. I would essentially like to do just the cam first. The other parts change pretty quickly.

I was at 252 kPa when it went in full boost and stayed there until I let off the throttle. It bounced down a little, but stayed pretty steady.

Looking at the compressor map, ur going beyond the efficiency of the compressor. Might be something to look at before u try a bunch of other upgrades. That compressor was only designed to produce 120 lb/min at 4bar. im guessing ur only at around 2.2 bar pushing 125 lb/min into that 370.

I don't think the turbo is done yet... Exhaust reversion during overlap looks just like a choking compressor when looking at a dyno power curve. I'd like to see someone really max out the cast s480. Jarrett went 6.0x @ 117 in the 1/8 and he said it still had more to give...
