LS Power!! Twin 76mm Turbo 4.8L 1200HP & still going!!

I know this is an old thread, but I just got reminded of this site and found I'd registered years ago! The argument over injector sizing made me giggle pretty good. 80 lb injectors are good for 750ish wheel hp on e85, but somehow no one realizes that it takes approximately 30% more fuel on corn than gas? Run 80 pounders on race gas and you can easily crack 1k wheel... now take the driveline out of the equation... btw, I've seen as high as 40% driveline loss through a 4l80 and a transfer case...

That all the people arguing over whether they could "really" make 1200hp with 75 lb injectors was ridiculous. They seem to figure that because they can't make that number to the wheels on e85 with those injectors, that no one else could make it at the crank on gas. Nevermind the fact that 800 wheel is roughly 1000 crank depending on driveline losses or the fact that gas has more btu content and therefore can make more hp with less fuel. Basically ignorance of the masses spouting information they misunderstand.

I can see that, but it was Carlos4.8 that necro'd this one... it was on the first page when I started perusing the boards... since it was already bumped way up, figured I'd toss in my 2 cents...
