Lifter fail = valve train upgrade including Trip 12
I have been loving my new setup, but I think one of the AFM lifters **** the bed. I was only a block from the house so I drove it home and parked it. I ordered the AFM/DOD/VVT delete kit, pushrods and Jarret's Trip 12 with springs. I'm currently running a Trick kit with PT 74/75 with 60lb injectors. On a 2013 5.3. Can you guys tell me how far I can push my setup once the new valve train is in? I'll be building the Trans up next.
Thanks for any help.

12-13 no problem, with a good tune! your fuel pump is gonna be maxed out though... I think around the 500-550 range. The bottom ends are tough though! I think a DD at 15lbs wouldn't be a problem, with a bigger pump... dont really know when your injectors would be maxed out... Maybe around 550-600 hp range.

You can do 500+ for sure on 91. I run 91octane, it's all we have out here in El Paso. At 8psi I made exactly 450/500, and this is the tune I run right now. at 10-11psi it made 500hp. Then I added a meth kit, because it started to get really hot out here and had it re-tuned a month or so ago, came out with 479/505 hp/tq, and still at 8-9psi on 91. That's a bone stock FF 5.3 with the DOD garbage. With the mods you're doing now and a good tune you should see 500+ HP/TQ easily on 9-10psi.
