Question JGS Wastegate... Need More Boost!!

I have a JGS 50mm wastegate mounted right off KBs turbo manifold and i have ran about 50 different combinations inline with the Hallman Manual boost controller and the max i can get out of it was 11-12#'s of boost and this was achieved by taking the boost controller outta the loop and using the reference line from the turbo housing directly to the top port of the wastegate and leaving the bottom port vented to air....Does anyone have a way to achieve 15-20#'s of boost with the spring that comes with it and some sort of hose routing? Thanks any help is appreciated

I dont think you can gain that much boost from a mbc over the actual spring rate. I believe the limit you can add over the spring is around 4-5psi. I may be wrong however, havent had a chance to hook mine up and play with it yet. How many psi were you able to get over your spring how you have it set now?
Also, I cant understand how you routed your boost reference line to the top port on your wastegate and didnt overboost?

You can shim your spring with washers or just use two springs.

im guessing my waste gate come with a 6# spring if i can only make 11-12#'s of boost so i reckon if i order a 9# spring i can make 18#'s of boost, that sound about right? The owner of jgs said i could achieve it without doing all the spring stuff but i havent seen it with everything we tried.....Only other option i can see would be CO2

That seems like a great idea to make a good temporary boost for tomorrow!! Im guessing this just gives the spring less room to push back huh

Also make sure that you do not have more than one port on the top that could bleeding off

I had the same problem with the hallman, threw it away. I put two washers under the spring and had no reference on either side of the gate, gave me about 11. Used a low pressure air regulator on the top side of the gate, bottom side open and I can control it to what I want. Much more consistent boost then the hallman also.

Well using the same setup as you I tried both springs with no reference and made 20+

Pretty sure the single small spring without the reference (to either port) was about 15lbs
