If the exhuast is spinning seprate from the intake then you really got a problem.They are supposed to be connected solid.

Yes the oil lines are connected. I checked to make sure the turbo was getting oil and draining it and it is.

I wasn't even going to suggest that as a problem lol. That's a little too crazy to consider, unless someone stuck a wrench in the compressor at WOT...

Where did you get the turbo from? Could be some roasted oil in there causing some drag.

I'm gonna play around with it some more tomorrow. After i gave it a little bit of gas it seemed to be spinning pretty good and didnt stop so maybe it was just seized up from sitting.

Maybe you just hadn't let the engine heat up enough? Cold oil is thick oil...

Maybe your engine doesn't have enough compression to spin the turbo.

I responded to your PM, but I also just had this thought... These are floating journal bearing turbos which means the shaft spins in the bushing and the bushing spins in the housing. The bushing probably just hasn't centered up yet and has a bit of drag. Like I said in the PM, as long as the wheels aren't hitting the housing, go ahead and run it and see if it makes boost.
