Needs de-old-manification though lol. I just will pull the stupid 90's graphics and stainless stuff off but want all the factory trim still on it though. So I have a replacement tailgate band, front bumper rub strips and the little stainless wheel well mouldings to go on when the time comes..... like 30 years from now lol.

Several years ago a good buddy of mine drove his truck down to Houston to spend the weekend with us. He lives in the hill country near Canyon Lake. Anyway, its a scsb 2002'ish gmc. Has a stout 408 in it with a t56. Put down something like 550 rwhp at Nelsons shop in SA. This was when my truck was a street truck and was running low 11's around 120 mph or so. We took turns driving mine and his. It was cool because they were probably pretty close in max power, but mine with a procharged 5.7 was more of a gradual ramp of power even with the converter where as his was big torque with instant lock up with the clutch.
His was a ton of fun to drive. The t56 and big early torque made for sliding around on the road with minimal throttle was a good time.
His opinion of mine was that it was more of a rocket ship type feel. Good traction and when the converter flashed and finally grabbed the motor and the procharger came online.....hold the **** on.
End of the night, he wasn't gonna win any drag races or roll races against mine, but if your looking for more of an enjoyable drive sliding around you couldn't beat the t56.
So, at the end of the day, we all liked both trucks (similar power remember). However, they where hardly comparable once the smoke cleared.
Just a little rant for those considering the t56 route.

lol I guess thats how it reads huh.
A centri blower with a very loose converter on the street feels very sluggish unless you got your foot buried in it. Feels even more sluggish (almost turbo like) if you just got done driving a 550 rwhp N/A 408 with a t56 behind it.

Hey guys this is my truck. Thanks for all the positive comments!
Honestly the only complaint I have about my truck being standard is that I don't have the converter flash. Start out casual from a start then floor it and it will never pull that hard off the line unless I dump the clutch.
