On the other hand, yes you can get a marine intake for 199.00 I bet that does not come with fuel rails, injectors and the other parts needed. If you find a marine for 199.00 with everything I'de snag that up but good luck with that.
I have the marine intake manifold on my truck. For $199, it comes with everything. Drill a few vaccum ports, if any, depending on setup, install fuel injector pigtails on your harness, fuel rail adapters and its ready to go on.

Lowdime, How's that marine intake working out and what kind of tuning was needed after it was installed? I really don't need one due to in a few months I'll have an LQ9 build and replaced over the 4.3 but if it's that cheap It might be worth it till it's replaced. Seeing how things always delay those kinds of big swaps. See above, I corrected myself : )

The reason I swapped was because my stock spider injection was leaking and needed to be replaced. The stock fuel stuff is mid $300, so the Marine manifold was the same price basically for an upgrade. If you do not have plans for the 4.3 that require more fuel, its not worth the hassle.

I havent seen any drastic improvements, besides the fact that with my stock fuel system I was running 15.0 AFR WOT.

I put down 330hp and 365ftlbs on the dyno out the stock injection system with the stock pump and an added boost pump for years on my 98 SS S-10. Vortech V2 supercharger 14psi (maxed out blowing hot air), 270AHR CompCam, P&P SS Valves, Custom tuning. I eventually added a custom 2114 edelbrock intake setup (which is way better than the marine if you got the cash), snow meth injection which took my intake temps WAY DOWN. After the intake(which stock is a huge restriction) and meth I was maxing out the MAF but never had it dynoed. I still have a bunch of **** layin around in the basement for a possible turbo build (twin 60-1's, Poncho Heads) if I decide to do it. If you really want to do keep the V6 it's cool to do, but expect to spend so money to make decent power. Which decent power means something different to everyone..haha. Good luck with the build

the marine intake is not hard to swap to and you can run any ls1 style injector. i did a build with one and its running the deka 60's. it runs about 13psi with a mpt70 with t4 flange on set of syty mani's (uses a t3-t4 adapter). at about 7psi the stock pump was done. it would loose pressure and lean out. but it was a 130,000 mile pump. we also swapped over to a two plug ecu for better tuning. the 4plug one is not as equiped as the ls style ecu's. the newer ecu can also do 3bar tuning.

i have some nice vids of the truck on street fire and youtube.
