I skipped the 1900. 112 to 122 to 2300. I can't tell much difference in any of them. They all get into boost stupid quick. I know it can't be, but this 5.3L L33 feels just as strong as the LQ4 6.0L at similar boost levels. I like the 2mpg extra too. Pretty pleased with the rig so far. Hope it holds together.

Wow that's awesome! No reason it shouldn't last unless you've had my experiences with tuners lol. I'm going to use a local guy this time that is a super tuner and highly recommended, expensive though at $650 but I've got the 6spd so gotta be careful. Who does your tuning?

Between the trucks and Vettes, I've had a bunch of guys do tuning. GForce in Pearland is about the best I've used. He does lots of CTS-V stuff and knows his way around a TVS blower. He did the Vette in my sig. 664/612 on 9.5 to 10psi.

How are the 6L80's holding up? I'm guessing better than the 4L60's and not as good as the 4L80's?

Going to use Sam Miller at Advanced Modern Performance in Arlington. They have some serious rides coming out of there! Like ~ 1500 whp Vettes and such.

Yea the TVS you wont notice any difference between the 1900 and 2300 in lagginess. The Whipple on the other hand is a different story.

Wow 664 on a Vette is getting pretty serious for a TVS on low boost! Bet its a lot of fun.

I'm wondering why they didn't just do the 2.3 on the 5.3? Do you think the 2.9 will be a problem with the 6spd? It seems to get in the power band pretty quick now but makes me wish the 2300 was more of a drop in. I was hoping to just do the canned tune to start and then go see Sam, and the not being emissions legal bothers me a bit.

the 2.9 wont be a problem. it will still make more boost than say a procharger. It will be plenty strong off the line. It just wont be AS strong...

with the new style motors I would probably prefer a whipple seeing as they have so much compression and bottom end tq. The 5.3 is just definitely on the smaller side for a 2.9 blower.
