You have a pic of this pump? Not familiar with it.

I have to wonder if it would work if I drilled and taped the shaft for a bolt if that would hold it. Kind of like the stock crank pulley; press fit with a bolt on top.

This is the PRW one: https://www.prw-usa.com/product/1434...cast-black-alu

My tow bill was $75 to take me 5 miles

I was considering drilling it through and pinning it. I hadn't considered going straight in the end.

Mike @ New Era Performance fully welded the end then drilled through it and welded that as well and he said it failed eventually as well.

He eventually went with the PRW pump I think.

I think he did, you're right.

Doesnt look like they make one for the 2007+ trucks though. I need that water pump for the JS blower.

I only thought he drilled through the exterior and did plug welds. And that truck was newer than mine, so they must have something that works for the nnbs trucks.

The NEP website shows 1434630 as the part number to use. I will probably give it a shot when I start the conversion. I will probably run a 3 inch upper with 6 rib belt before I swap everything over to 8 rib. Then I'll gradually buy the swap in the 8 rib parts before I go to a smaller upper. Looks like I could get to a 2.8 or 2.7 upper before needing to move the bearing in the snout. That would be north of 15 psi.

Even a 3.0 could be pushing that mark on your 5.3.

What size pulley came on the blower, any idea?

3.3, I am figuring that a 3 would put me at around 14. I don't know how far I could spin it on a 6 rib setup though.
