2008 nnbs maf swap?
I have a 2008 silverado that I installed a turbo on, me and a few of the wise hptuners forum members can't seem to get it to run in speed density (here's a link to my problems 08 turbo 5.3 no stat - Page 2 )
So I'm ready to ditch the 2 bar os all together and try the high flowing card style maf sensor or. My question here., is it possible to wire in the card style maf when the truck originally has the tube style. If so would a simple copie and past of maf parameters from a vehicle originally equipped with the card style maf sensor get me up and running (as long as it's the same displacement motor)
Thanks guys

I swapped in the later card style maf into my 08, but also swapped the wiring harness, if memory serves, there are two or three wires that need to be swapped around from the tube style to the card type. Think i still have the pinouts in my toolbox i can look at them tomorrow, i know the map sensor going from delphi to bosch is swapping two wires in the connector. Wanna say its the low ref and the signal wires that are swapped.. read somehwere (probably hptuners forums) that the maf needs to be recalibrated after boost, cams, etc anyway. Something about the change in air flow going through it throwing fuel calculations off, dont remember exactly its been a while...

any more info on this? have an 08 Sierra and want to build a 4" intake. I have the tube style maf and plan to use this 4" adapter tube and card style maf or possibly the newer non-tube style maf off the newer nnbs trucks.
