Hey guys, just got word my trip this weekend canceled, so i'm considering making this trip from SC up to Ky for LS Fest. It's a little over 600 miles one way so I want to be clear on a few things if I can be.

I want to run the True Street class 10.00. How strict are these guys on Cage rules for the street classes?

Also I'm going to be running a 295/65 ET Drag Radial. Will the be a issue with the 10.75" no go rule as it's 10.9, or would it be considered a "D.O.T. radial tires' as it's a drag radial?

Heres what i'm going of off.

http://www.holley.com/data/Pages/LSF...et%20Rules.pdf

Thanks guys.

CLASS & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
It is the participant’s responsibility to familiarize oneself with the class requirements as found in
the
2012 NMCA rulebook and the safety requirements as found in the 2012 NHRA rulebook. The
participant agrees that the participant bears the ultimate responsibility at all times to ensure the
safety of participant’s vehicle and to ensure that participant complies with all applicable NHRA &
NMCA rules.
I'm no lawyer, but this sounds very ambiguous to me. Normally they say "participant must comply with all NHRA safety rules". Sounds like they may turn a blind eye to the speed/cage rule as long as everything else techs ok and you have an overall safe vehicle.

As for your tires, they will have to have the DOT designation on the sidewall. Are you running the 295/65 ET Street radial? If so, I think you are good as a 325 is good for a DOT radial. Only slicks are held to the 10.75" tread rule. I did not see the size you specified for a ET Drag Radial.

Tracks been voted most prestigious 1/4 mile track in the USA for about the last 6 or so years. Looks like it should be some decent weather as well.

Just got Leave approved at work, I'm going!! Hope the track lets me race, any case, who's ready to party!?

Things to do, I'm going to move fuel pressure regulator off the fire wall, mount my battery in a sealed battery box, and lastly swap fluids on rear and engine. If they then shut me down for no cage, it is what it is. My trucks a street truck I'm driving 1200 miles to make the event, hope they leave me be!
