When I did mine, The dyno claimed a 12.5 or 12.4, and if I remember I ran a 12.3 the next day. A better question would be does the dyno operator know how to set the dyno up properly...

cool man id just thought id ask
we have a mustang dyno at our school and on the way to dinner break my teacher pulled up besid eme in his 01 camaro ss and started pulling and letting off with me so the bad influence my buddies that were with me is
made me take off with him i pulled on him and ended up him being behind my bumper when i let out finally.
after that he pestered me to put it on the dyno so i went for it and was dissapointed with the numbers but was pretty pleased with the time.
plus we guessed upward on the weight so it loaded it pretty hard.

I wouldn't say inflated, just different, just like flow benches. When looking at Dynojet #'s compared to factory ratings they are in the realm of believability. Dynojets are so numerous and reapeatable that they have become the defacto standard for chassis dynos. Theres no perfect world when comparing dyno results, but its much easier comparing dyno results with the same make dyno, and dynos where the operator has little influence on the results.

I have to assume part of the reason there are so many dyno jets has to be partially because of price, although I don't know how much any chassis dynos cost.
I found this on eBay, It cracked me up......
