Default Finally got a dyno tune for my truck

Did a 6.0/80e swap in my truck but had to rebuild the engine, finally got everything back together and broken in!

Specs on the engine: '02 LQ4 that I went .005 overbore with forged flat-top pistons w/Total Seal rings and forged i-beam rods w/ARP bolts, stock crank checked out ok, used King XP bearings and stock cam. Built by RPM.

Heads are stock 317's with a valve-job, LS6 springs, Comp trunnion upgrade, chromoly pushrods, GM hi-volume oil pump, LS2 timing chain/gears, and LS7 lifters.

Stock '99 5.3 intake/throttle body and stock exhaust manifolds/y-pipe into a flowmaster 70 series dumped at the axle.

Trans is a Jake's stage 2 80e with a stock re-man torque converter.

It made 317 hp and 362 ft-lb. We went on the safe side of the tune, I was surprised by the numbers, makes some good torque and is fun to drive

Might do a mild cam after my wallet recovers.

RPM did a great job on the tune, much better than the mail-order I had from Nelson, shifts nice on the street with very smooth power delivery.

This was the final pull

Got a vid of the 2nd or 3rd run can't remember

Do a nice little JFR(stock48) spec Isky cam and let that motor breathe! I bet you would pick up another 50hp easily.

Still awesome numbers for whats pretty much a stock motor.

Thats what I was thinking, maybe in a year or so I'll get a custom spec cam for it.

But for now I'm enjoying that torque.

Gives me some hope, I have dished pistons - but changed the cam. Hoping it will put down similar power.

Thanks! Just put a Circle D 258mm triple disk 3200-3400rpm stall in it to drop it right in the meat of the torque curve, and it pulls like a freight train, puts a smile on my face every time haha.
