Here's my thread, raced in October the first time. March the next time. I think the wheels and tires kill it, or it's just a dud.

DA was 661 in October 13', 1013 in March 14'. (Per drag times.com)

my truck in dead of summer of 2002 ran 15.1@90mph with 3000 miles on truck
ran it with 15000 on it in april of 03 and 14.6@94 mph with 2.1 60 on the stock 235/75/16s with 25psi in tires

manually shifted it, and tow haul doesnt gain you nothing for stock shiftings

truck was 373 and a LS package truck

75 shot put same truck on street tires 13.3 @ 105 with a 1.98 60' in april of 2005 again 25psi in street tires (had hypertech on it to raise the speed limter on this pass)

same truck in 06 with 6.0 with cam, 3800 stall, 60e with Fbody mid lenghts, stock Y pipe modded to with no cats to mate to the mid lenghts and flowmaster cat back went 12.5@107 1.74 60' stock suspension on some 26" slicks

so curious what is holding ya back

If that's a 80E in there with stock converter it's killing at least .5-.6 in the 1/4 over a stock 60E. The 80E is like racing with the E brake on if you have less than 650 HP.

It is, engine and transmission are out of an 04' 2500 HD 2WD. All I did to the engine is: cam, LS6 valve springs (blue), cloyes single roller t-chain, hardened push rods (7.4"), melling HV pump, new gaskets - including LS9 head gaskets, ARP head bolts. (In case I ever decide to get serious and throw some sort of forced induction at it.)

Yea you need that 80E if you decide to turbo it or something. Also I have seen a HV oil pump rob some pretty substantial power. I try and stay away from them.

Explains some you dropped compression with the ls9s on a already low scr NA motor

I can get some scans with HP Tuners this weekend if anyone is curious. Just let me know what specific parameters you'd want to see monitored.

I think most companies recommend 2800 stall or lower when towing that heavy. Any higher and your towing capacity starts to go down. Although I will say I towed roughly 3,000 lbs with my Circle D 3200 and I think it was actually easier than with the stock stall due to getting the rpms up faster. The main reason for decreased towing capacity is increased heat in the transmission. If you have an 80e with a large cooler you may be able to tow more with a larger stall than I can with a 60e........

Interesting. I had no idea you could stall them that high. I guess it also depends on the weight of the truck as well. My rcsb 60e I could barely stall higher than 1500rpm before it would start pushing through the brakes
