It gets great gas mileage.... When you drive "normal".... Which for me is almost never! Haha I just can't help it! I remember when I used to hope a light would stay green so I could make it through! Now I'm always wanting to catch the red lights, and hopefully be next to something I can play with! Lol

But the truck dies get great gas mileage when I'm out on the interstate! It'll stay in the low 30,s when I'm cruising.... Not sure how accurate it is?

I've also ran some mustangs, svt raptor, and a handful of Hondas! These were all without meth! I really just added the meth because I picked the kit up for dirt cheap. The truck before the meth put down 450hp/500tq and that was at 8-9psi. This is all with a bone stock 150k 5.3 motor! With the AFM/DOD!

What kind of vehicle are you gonna boost?

It's going on my 01 Yukon. I put in a boost spec'd cam already, and head studs. Going to keep the boost low until I get a 80e for it.

I'm doing a 80e swap as well. You can keep the boost cranked up on the 60e, but you can't keep it Floored when it goes to shift... It'll just slip, at least mine does! I just let out of it a little when it goes to shift and then get back in it!

Nice build.
What did the spikes kit include?
How are things going with it so far?
Have you made any changes?

Awesome job, looks great.

Thanks man! The kit included everything (check out the link), and the Spike crew are great people to work with! Everything is %100 with the kit, I've already been from El Paso to Beaumont TX, Destin FL, Birmingham AL, and back three times with no problems. The only changes I'm about to make is the 80e swap within a month and then AFM/DOD delete, cam, and springs! Then I'm gonna run 13lbs (maybe more) and expect to see around 630 to the wheels.

That's awesome.
Where are you going to get the 80e from?
That's going to be a fun ride, hell it must be a blast right now making 500hp.

I fixed the photobucket thing! Check it out now.
Yeah the truck is a lot of fun, but when I get the 80e in I'm really gonna see what it's all about! With the 4l60e I can't just mash it and go thru the gears, you have to be gentle/smart if you want it to last any amount of time... Of course mines completely factory.
I'm gonna get the 80e from out here in west Texas. I run across them all the time in the 450-700 range. I was debating on getting a core and rebuilding it with Jakes stage 2kit, but I think I'm just gonna go pick up this 2004 80e and a aftermarket converter and just run it for now.
